Hi guys, I’m Nicky.
I’ve been a hairstylist for over 20 years and currently work at Union Salon in Pasadena, CA. I began my career in the early 2000s in Birmingham, MI, when I was young, driven, and deeply in love with the industry. While I may no longer be in my twenties, my passion for hairstyling is just as strong as ever.
This industry is constantly changing—styles, techniques, trends, and demands are always evolving—and that’s one of the things I love most about it. It keeps me on my toes. I truly enjoy continuing to learn and applying that knowledge every day behind the chair.
While the creativity is what initially keeps me coming back for more, it’s the relationships I’ve built over the years that truly feed my soul. Waking up each morning knowing that going to work means spending time with fun, interesting people while doing what I love feels like a dream come true. The relationship between my clients and me is unlike most others. It often feels like a safe space—for both of us. We become friends. We talk about relationships, kids, and life. We laugh, we cry, we drink coffee (or wine), and we support each other through some of life’s greatest and most challenging moments—all while getting those roots done.
I feel so lucky to have built a career that blends creativity, connection, and community. My chair is a place to relax, laugh, talk, and feel taken care of—no matter what season of life you’re in. I look forward to welcoming you, getting to know you, and creating hair that feels just right for you.
